Many thanks to all who came along to the first meeting, and for those who joined the Lancashire Woodturners Club.

The Team (Chris, Richard and Fiona) are very open to ideas for Club Meetings and Demonstrators. Please, do not be backwards in coming forwards. This is very much a club for the members and we need your input. What would you like to see included in Club Meetings, what is it you need help with? Contact us at the Club, via email or phone Chris or Richard.

To help raise club funds, there will be a raffle every Friday the club meets. The prizes will be related (vaguely) to woodworking. Donations of prizes would be appreciated. Tickets will cost £1. Draw will happen on the night.

Harrogate Woodworking Show 10-12th November 2023

Also known as the North of England Woodworking & Power Tool Show.

Is this something you would like to go to? There will be spaces available in cars going, or if there is enough interest to cover costs, a driver and mini-bus/coach could be hired.

Let us know if you are interested, what date you would like. Tickets go on sale from 31st August, but we will try and find out beforehand how much they cost.

Tuition with Chris Parker

One of the great advantages of being a member of Lancashire Woodturners is that we have Chris Parker as Chair and founding member. Chris is a RPT (Registered Professional Turner) and an AWGB Approved Tutor. Is there any interest from members for a small group session with Chris tutoring? This would be for 3 hours at the club venue, on a Friday that the club does not meet. Please let Chris know.

Sandy Fox & myself where out promoting the club at Penwortham Christmas fair. It was a cold but fruitful night with lots of question's & interest in the club & the turnings on display .So a very successful evening .
